CARIBOU – Ruth J. Curran, 80, wife of Allen Curran, died March 7, 2007, at a Caribou health care facility. She was born Feb. 24, 1927, in Caribou, the daughter of Harold and Cora (Stitham) Cochran. Ruth was a loving and devoted wife and mother to her family. She was a member of the Caribou United Baptist Church and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Lister-Knowlton Post No. 9389 VFW and the Unisleds Snowmobile Club. Surviving, in addition to her husband, Allen, of Caribou, are one son, Greg Curran of Caribou; one daughter, Deborah Bush and her husband, Fred, of Beltsville, Md.; one brother, Derald Cochran and his wife, Leola, of Bangor; one sister, Brenda Kempton and her husband, Richard, of Plymouth; two grandchildren, Bradley Bush and Amanda Ginter and her husband, Zach; one great-grandson, Caden Ginter; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Richard Cochran. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, March 11, from the chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Kiehn, pastor, officiating. Spring interment will take place in Woodland Cemetery.
