PASSADUMKEAG and OLAMON – Ruth L. (Knights) McPhee Sewell, 84, passed away April 15, 2008. She was born Aug. 27, 1923, in Brookton, the daughter of George and Lydia Knights. She was married to Buddy McPhee for 44 years, until his passing, Jan. 23, 1986. On Nov. 9, 1986, she married Percy Sewell and moved to Littleton, were they lived for 11 years and then they moved to Passadumkeag at Sandhill Apartments for 10 years until his passing, Nov. 22, 2007. She was a wonderful loving mom, who loved to cook her chocolate fudge and her molasses cookies for all her kids and grandkids. She was a member of Cardville United Pentacostal Church for 30 years and helped at Maine District Camp for 10 years. She is survived by three children, Sharon and John Griggs of Georgia, Charles and Linda McPhee of Milford, and Betty and Blaine Batchelder of Enfield; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Roger, Rodney and Jimmy of Raymond; four sisters, Muriel St. Louis of Bangor, Florence Potter of Wytopitlock and Charlotte MacIntosh of Connecticut, and Eunice Hafford of New York. A very special thanks to the staff at Orono Commons for the loving care they gave our mom and family. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at Cardville United Pentacostal Church, Cardville. Burial will be Saturday after the service at Scott Corner Cemetery, Olamon.
