RUTH MAY HICKEY BRADFORD – Ruth May Hickey, 78, the wife of William J. Hickey XII, died Jan. 6, 2004, at her Bradford residence following a long period of ill health. She was born April 28, 1925, in Bangor, the daughter of Bradford and Charlotte Bell (Ashey) Leighton. She was a member of the Clearwater Spiritualist Church of Dover-Foxcroft. Surviving, in addition to her husband of Bradford are seven sons, Jeffery of Beverly, Mass., William and his wife, Connie, of Greenbush, Bradford of Augusta, Guyfred of Beverly, Mass., Robert, of Bradford, Gregory of New Durham, N.H. and Lloyd of Bradford; a son-in-law, Kenneth Donovan of Massachusetts; two daughters, Angeline Jennings and her husband, Robert, of LaGrange and Elena Hickey and her husband, Joseph, of Salem, Mass.; 21 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Ruth was predeceased by a daughter, Yvonne Beaudry; two brothers, Victor and Charles Dorr; and two sisters, Patricia Gerstel and Oweda Riley. Private memorial services will be held in the summer. Arrangements are by the Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth.
