HOULTON – Sadie M. Barriner, 96, wife of the late William H. Barriner, died unexpectedly, March 23, 2004, at a local hospital. She was born July 31, 1907, at Van Buren, the daughter of Joseph and Emily (Tardiff) St. Pierre. She was a resident of Houlton and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She lived for her family, loved life and had a great sense of humor. No matter where she went she made friends easily and they would remain her friends forever. She will be sadly missed by her family and her special friend, Ilene. Sadie is survived by one daughter, Rita Barriner of Houlton; two sons, Billy Barriner of Houlton, Bob Barriner and his wife, Connie, of Littleton; two granddaughters, Leisa Hall and her husband, Billy Jo, of Hodgdon, Jodi Hall and her husband, Philip, of Linneus; three great-grandsons, Matthew and Kyle Hall, of Hodgdon, Joshua Hall of Linneus; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband; two brothers, Guy and Clifford St. Pierre; three sisters, Bertha Hall, Gertrude St. Pierre and Lillian Soucier; a granddaughter, Renee Barriner; and a daughter-in-law, Nancy Barriner. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Dunn Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Friday, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with Fr. Eddy Morin celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery. Gifts may be made in Sadie’s memory to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or the charity of one’s choice, care of Dunn Funeral Home, 11 Park St., Houlton, ME 04730. A special thank you to her physician and dear friend who took such good care of her and always remembered her birthday, Dr. Ted Sussman, whom she loved dearly.
