SANGERVILLE and SAN FRANCISCO – Salina Dellaire Giarrita, also known as Sally Virginia Dellaire, died peacefully and went to be with the Lord Jesus July 16, 2008. She graduated from Piscata-quis Community High School, Class of 1960. Salina worked three years in the U.S. Air Force, seven years as a nun and 22 years as secretary for Sunset Magazine, until cancer forced her retirement. She had lived in San Francisco since 1968, and was involved in her parish, Charismatic Catholic Renewal and Women’s Aglow. Her joy was showing people how to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by spreading God’s Word. Salina was a loving daughter of Ruth and Peter Dellaire of Sangerville, who predeceased her; and the adopted daughter of Frank and Josephine Giarritta of San Francisco, who also predeceased her. She is survived by two sisters, four brothers, many nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be conducted 10 a.m. Friday, July 25, at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Dover-Foxcroft.
