Every day I wake and I think I am in a dream, but then I realize you are gone. Then my dreams turn back to reality. I still reach for the phone to call you and ask you for advice, or for a recipe, then I realize I can’t call Heaven. I can’t spend Mother’s Day with you, give you a hug, and tell you how very much I love you and miss you. All I have are the memories we shared so deeply, within my heart and soul. I was so blessed to have you for my mom, and for my best friend in the world. I love you, Mom, and miss you so desperately. The holidays aren’t the same without you. I try to carry out our family tradition, even though the circle of our family has been broken. God bless you, Mom, until we are together again for eternity.
