BATH – Sally Bush Trafford, 58, passed away Friday, Feb. 4, 2005, at her residence. She was born in Old Town, the daughter of Melvin and Charlotte (Tear) Bush. She attended Old Town schools and graduated from Old Town High School in 1965. Sally attended D’Lor Beauty School in Brewer and married Rod Herring in 1966. Sally was remarried in 1976, to John Trafford. John and Sally lived happily in Orono, Bangor and Gofftown, N.H. For the last 10 years they lived on High Street in Bath. Sally was employed as a counselor at the Counseling Center in Bangor, the Job Corps in Bangor, also a job counselor at Bath Iron Works and most recently as an employment specialist at Maine Medical Center. Sally was especially gratified in her life’s work of helping and counseling others. She is predeceased by her father, Melvin Bush; and stepfather, Richard Stevenson. She is survived by her mother, Charlotte Bush Stevenson of Veazie; her loving husband of 29 years, John Trafford of Bath; one daughter, Jami Cass and her partner, Patrick Blanchette, of Newcastle; one sister, Christy Zaenger and her husband, Marty, of Winterport; two brothers, Tom Bush and his wife, Janet, of Rochester, N.H., Christopher Bush of Milford; three grandchildren, Sydney, Maxwell and Duncan Bradshaw; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, at the United Church of Christ Congregational in Bath. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to the Bangor Humane Society, 693 Mount Hope Avenue, Bangor, 04401. Arrangements are by Mayo, Curtis & Hill Funeral Home, 819 High Street, Bath.
