BUCKSPORT – Sally Foster Patterson, a beloved sister died Dec. 13, 2005, after a long illness. She was a graduate of Bucksport High School and Colby College. For many years she worked as a programmer for IBM where she had several special assignments including one in Nice, France. After her retirement, she returned to her family home in Bucksport, a beautiful town for which she had a special fondness. She then became the volunteer coordinator for the gift shop at Fort Knox and later was the proprietor of Penobscot Narrows, a gift shop in Bucksport. She was predeceased by her father, James A. Patterson; and her mother, Natalie B. Patterson. She will be sadly missed by her sister, Jane Paxton of Chelsea; her brother, James Patterson and his wife, Deej and their children, Elizabeth and John, of Winterport; her sister, Polly Currier and her husband, Alan and their children, Joshua and Sarah, of Atlanta, Ga.; and her brother, Robert Patterson and his wife, Kathryn and his daughter, Martha, of Bucksport.
