PORTLAND – Sammye A. Elliott, 42, died Dec. 6, 2004, at a Portland hospital. He was born March 26, 1962, in Caribou, the son of Vernon and Reta (McPherson) Elliott. In addition to his father of Mapleton, he is survived by a daughter, Casandra Elliott of Portland; two brothers, Stephen McPherson of Amsterdam and Charles Elliott of Mapleton; two nieces, Jamie-Lyn Elliott of Washburn and Angharad Carroll of Portland; two nephews, Dylan S. Elliott and Mason Lavaway both of Mapleton; two great-nieces, Adrian Morgan and Morgan Lavaway. A graveside service will be held at South Side Cemetery in the spring. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.
