BROOKLYN, N.Y., MILLVILLE, N.J., and BANGOR Samuel B. Ymer, 73, who lived in Bangor for the past 30 years, died Tuesday, April 22, 2008, after a three- year battle with cancer and after suffering with disabling rheumatory arthritis for three decades. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. He is survived by his loving, caring and devoted daughter, Lenore Cole of Lexington, Ky., her husband, Vincent, and grandchildren, Joseph, Christopher and Lisa; his son, Timothy Ymer of Linwood, N.J., and granddaughter, Gabrielle; and he was predeceased by his beautiful and devoted daughter, Christina. He is also survived by his mother, Mary Ymer of Apopka, Fla.; sisters, Yvonne Ymer of Brooklyn, N.Y., Lorraine Ymer of Brooklyn, N.Y., DeDe Ymer Mariane of Queens, N.Y.; and a brother, Barry Ymer of Mount Ephraim, N.J. Finally, he is survived by a very special friend and neighbor, Marjorie Magnus of Bangor; and his former wife, with whom he maintained a special friendship, Josephine Ymer of Atlantic City, N.J. The family will have a private funeral ceremony.
