DOVER-FOXCROFT – Sandra J. Wilder, 63, wife of Irvin M. Wilder, died peacefully Aug. 23, 2006, with her family at her side, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. She was born Sept. 10, 1942, in Hartland, the daughter of Timothy E. and Laura A. (Butler) Cassidy. Sandra had worked at Hibbard Nursing Home, for many years at Dexter Shoe Co. and had retired from Ames department store. She was a member of a cancer support group, and enjoyed quilting, baking, cooking, camping, and reading. Time spent at her summer cottage in Steuben was very special to her. Her life was about her family and she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was predeceased by her mother, Laura Cassidy Fogg, “Nana Laura,” in 1996. They looked out for one another faithfully, and enjoyed a very special mother-daughter relationship. Sandra is survived by her husband of 48 years, Irvin of Dover-Foxcroft; three sons, Michael and his wife, Sheri Wilder, of Lamoine, Aaron Wilder and his friend, Amanda Francis, of Sangerville, Darren Wilder and his friend, Julie Clark, of Winter Harbor; a daughter, Cindy Piper and her husband, Roland, of Corinna; seven grandchildren, Anne Marie, Amy Lynn, Ashley Elisabeth, Kelly Laura, Katlyn Nicole, Blake Michael, and Heather Erin; and a great-grandson, Ian Sebastian. She will be missed by her two poodles, Jack and Jill; and her cat, Missy. Friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, where funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, with Pastor Dan Bollen officiating.
