OLD TOWN and MERRITT ISLAND, Fla. – Sandra Ann Howe, 65, passed away unexpectedly April 9, 2006, in Florida. She was born Dec. 22, 1940, in Brewer, a daughter of James F. “Hank” Pooler and Grace H. (Doughty) Pooler. Sandra was a 1957 graduate of John Bapst High School and enjoyed sharing many fond memories of her high school cheerleading days. After graduation, she worked at the family business, Gold Star Cleaners. She was an airline stewardess for several years. Sandy enjoyed her camp at Pushaw, the Fourth of July parade, neighbors, friends and family. She is survived by her loving husband and soulmate of 31 years, Jim Howe and his children, Steven Howe, Gary Howe and special friend, Cindi Hooks, Karen Noyes and husband, Mike; granddaughter, Kayla; grandson, Brandon. She also leaves brothers, James Pooler and wife, Ruth Mary, Peter Pooler; sister, Dolores Bagish and husband, David; sisters-in-law, Betty Foley and husband, Frank, and Brenda Pooler; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Edward and Michael Pooler. Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Friday, at Foley Funeral Service 299 Union St., Bangor, where a service of remembrance will be held 11 a.m. Saturday. Interment will be in Lawndale Cemetery, Old Town.
