HOLDEN and WINDSOR, Vt. Sara H. Edsall, 98, died Monday, May 17, 2004, in Bangor. She is survived by a son, Dr. David Edsall and wife, Patricia, of Holden; a daughter, Andrea Bourn and husband, Frank, of Eden Prairie, Minn.; four grandchildren, Eric Bourn of Bow, N.H., Michael Bourn of Nashua, N.H., Tyler Edsall of Hooksett, N.H., and Kysa Crusco of Manchester, N.H. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter S. Edsall; two brothers, Thomas and Alfred Gilson; and one sister, Ethel Jordan. Born in Hartland, Vt., the majority of her years were lived in Windsor, Vt., where she was active as executive secretary of the American Red Cross for 50 years, teller/manager of Windsor Savings Bank for 20 years, realtor with Hilda B. Russell for 25 years, and a founding member of the Windsor Country Club. Sara was an avid bridge player and enjoyed politics. Since leaving Windsor in 1993, she was a resident of Pleasant View Retirement community in Concord, N.H., and Prestwick Chase in Saratoga Springs before moving to Holden in 2003. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 22, in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Windsor, Vt. Contributions may be made to the Central VT-NH Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross, P.O.
