BANGOR and MILLINOCKET Gloria M. Millett, 54, died unexpectedly at her home in Bangor May 17, 2004. She was born Jan. 28, 1950, at Belfast, the daughter of Laurence and Julia (Bailey) Elwell. She graduated from Belfast High School in 1968. In 1970 she married her husband, Ed-ward “Tim” Millett. For the past 10 years she has been employed by the Acadia Hospital, working in the pediatric unit as the unit coordinator. She recently received her associate’s degree as a medical secretary from Beal College. Gloria loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed gardening and spending time at the ocean. For the past 12 years she has spent her summer vacations with her sister and friends. She is survived by her two daughters, Julie Glidden and her husband, Jon, and their children, Timothy and Maria of Millinocket; Kimberly Peterson and her husband, Cliff, and their children, Arianna and Bailey of Ellsworth; her sister, Lois Elwell of Westbrook; her brother, David Elwell and his friend, Jane, of Stockton Springs; her half sisters, Ardith and her husband, Wilbur, Arla and her husband, Raymond, Dorothy and her husband, Keith; and her half brother, Clifford and his wife, Mary; her mother-in-law, Mary Millett; two brothers-in-law, Bob Millett and his wife, Teresa, and Frank Millett and his wife, Sandy; many nieces, nephews, cousins; and many special friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Tim, in 1992; and two half sisters, Carol and Lorene. Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Greenlawn Memorial Funeral Home, 300 State St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2004. Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor. A reception will follow for family and friends at 800 Essex St., Bangor.
