HOULTON – Sarah Elizabeth (McGuire) Greenlaw went home to be with her Lord Jan. 29, 2006. She was born Sept. 12, 1914,in Presque Isle, the daughter of Fred and Beatrice (Ballard) McGuire, she was the oldest of six children. On June 6, 1934, she married Malcom W. Greenlaw who passed away Sept. 29, 1962, in Westport, Conn. Together they had one child, Marilyn, whom Sarah loved very much. She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Jackson of Littleton; one sister, Mabel and her husband, Robert Walton of Littleton; three grandchildren, Deborah and her husband, Gary Sergeant, of Surry, Michael and his wife, Cindy, of Bucksport and Robin Eldridge and her companion, Roger, of Edmonston, N.B.; five great-grandchildren, Breianne Eldridge of Auburn, Rebecca and Christopher Sergeant of Surry and Joshua and Dustan Jackson of Bucksport; several nieces and nephews; two special nieces, Susan and her husband, Keith Nason and Nancy and her husband, Garth Golding, all of Littleton. Along with her husband, Sarah was predeceased by her parents, brothers, George, Lawrence, Harold; and her sister, Ruth Boyle of Philadelphia, Pa. Her favorite Bible verse: Samuel 16:7 “Man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.” Her favorite poet was Helen Steiner Rice who wrote Sarah’s favorite poem, “When I Must Leave You.” At Sarah’s request there will be no visitation or funeral.
