STEUBEN – Scott R. Dyer, 84, died Aug. 14, 2008, at Narraguagus Bay Health Care Facility, Milbridge. He was born July 31, 1924, in Gouldsboro, the son of the late Alvah and Mildred (Rice) Dyer. Mr. Dyer was a U.S. veteran serving his country honorably in the Army during World War II. In 1947, he married Beatrice L. Parritt. He worked for many years as a carpenter. He shared 52 years of marriage with the late Beatrice L. (Parritt) Dyer, who died in 1999. Family members include two sons, Scott A. Dyer and wife, Erin, of Waterville and Monte Dyer and wife, Jeannette, of Steuben; four grandchildren, Scott Dyer of Hancock, Shawn Dyer of Ellsworth, Matthew Scott Dyer and Brittany Dyer, both of Steuben; six great-grandchildren, Toni Dyer, Ricky Dyer, Alisha Colby, Karli Dyer, Spencer Dyer and MacKenzie Dyer; two brothers, Peter Dyer and his wife, Virginia and Paul Dyer and his wife, Addie, both of Gouldsboro. He will be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. He will also be remembered by very dear friends, Tracy Young, Bud Holland, Dave Phillio, Doug Smith, Robert Ginn and John Brooks. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, at Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, Milbridge, where services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday. Burial with full military honors will be held at West Bay Cemetery, Gouldsboro. A time of fellowship will be celebrated after the burial service at Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, Milbridge.
