ADDISON – Sereno A. Jacob, 77, of Addison, died Monday, Oct. 2, 2006, at a Bangor health care facility, after a two-week struggle with pancreatitis. He was born Feb. 17, 1929, in Norwalk, Conn., the son of the late Sereno T. and Marion C. (Wakeman) Jacob. Mr. Jacob graduated from the Wooster School, Danbury, Conn. He attended Hobart College, Elmira, N.Y., and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He worked in New York City as a photographer and then moved to Allentown, Pa., and worked at Mack Trucks Inc. as a corporate photographer for 18 years, until his retirement in 1986. He and his wife have resided in Maine since 1995. He shared 48 years of marriage with Joanne (Wampole) Jacob of Addison. In addition to his wife, family members include three sons, Sereno C. Jacob of Allentown, Pa., Dr. Thorpe A. and his wife, Sherri Jacob, of Spartenburg, S.C., and Merritt and his wife, Jeanine Jacob, of New Ringgold, Pa.; six grandchildren, a step-grandson; a sister, Sally T. Deegan of Naples, Fla.; a brother, Merritt W.B. Jacob of Westport, Conn.; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at Wescogus Cemetery, Addi-son.
