JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Shawn William Joy, 38, passed away Sept. 7, 2005. Born in Jonesport, he moved to Jacksonville, Fla., in 1985. An avid outdoorsman he enjoyed bass fishing and deer hunting. He had a passion for motorcycles and a profound interest in “choppers.” Survivors include the daughters he dearly loved, Ashley Elaine, Tiffany Renee, and Kerstyn Victoria; his loving parents, George and Joan Joy; brothers, Barry and his wife, Purita, Scott and his wife, Laura, Anthony “Tony” and his wife, Felicia; two nieces and two nephews; two special aunts, Carolyn and Arlene; several additional aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12 at Shindler Drive Baptist Church with the Rev. Jay Huddleston, officiating. A private interment will be held at a later date in Addison. The family will receive friends noon until 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 729 South Edgewood Ave., Jacksonville, Fla.
