MARION – Sherman E. Graham, 86, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2007, at his home, after a long illness. He was born Aug. 24, 1921, in Calais, son of the late Elmer and Reta (Lund) Graham. He served in the Army overseas in 1945-1946. Sherman and his brother, Ivan, started as general contractors, also into mechanical logging, then ran Graham’s Restaurant for many years. In addition to his parents, Sherman was predeceased by his sister, Marcia (Graham) Gammino. Surviving are his loving wife of more than 63 years, Amy (Dowling) Graham; one child, Shirley E. Graham and his wife, Constance (Robinson) Graham; one brother, Ivan D. Graham of Marion; one sister, Geneva (Graham) Sheltry of Connecticut; three grandchildren, Shelley Parola of Baton Rouge, La., Steven and his wife, Julie Graham, and their children, Emily and Kaitlin Graham, all of Tyler, Texas, and Scott Graham of Victoria, Texas; great-grandson, Jeffrey Graham; brother, Ethan Graham of Jonesboro; two nephews, Don-ald and Michael Gammino of Providence, R.I.; a special aunt, Mary Campbell; special uncle, Maurice Lund; also a very special friend and best man 63 years ago, Hollis Bryant; special cousins and friends. A graveside service will be held at a future date.
