HOULTON – Violet N. Sprague, 87, died Oct. 9, 2007, in Houlton. She was born Oct. 19, 1919, in Picadilly, New Brunswick, the daughter of Robert and Emma (Bell) Sprague. Violet is survived by three daughters, Charlotte Sprague of Houlton, Harriet O’Dell of St. John, New Brunswick, Paula Wyman of Houlton; two sons, Maurice and his wife, Jean, of Littleton and Robert of Debec, New Brunswick; 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, James B Sprague; one son, Timothy; and two sons-in-law, Phillip Wyman and Harold O’Dell. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, and also 3-4 p.m., Atlantic time, Friday at Culberson Funeral Home, Connell Street, Woodstock, Canada, where funeral services will be held 4 p.m. with Pastor Steve Straubel officiating.
