CARMEL and VEAZIE Sheryl Anna (Kennett) Glidden, 57, wife of Reginald Preston Glidden Sr., passed away peacefully on July 8, 2004. She was born Dec. 13, 1946, in Bangor, the daughter of Harold and June (Brown) Kennett. Sherry attended Veazie and Bangor Schools, and during her early years worked at Viner Shoe Co. and at the Ramada Inn. She then spent her time raising her two sons. She will always be remembered by the love she shared with her family and she always found a way to give to others when it seemed that she had nothing left to give. Even in her last hours, she gave her family the opportunity to laugh with her one last time and to say good-bye. She is survived by her husband of nearly 30 years of Carmel; two sons, Reginald Glidden Jr. of Carmel, and Jamie Glidden of Brewer. She was the special aunt of Tammy Cormier, Kelly Call and Martin Douglas Jr. and their families. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Harold “Skeet” Kennett Jr. and James Kennett; and one sister, Jacqueline (Kennett) Douglas. At her request, there will be no services.
