SUDBURY, Mass. – Sophie (Wyka) Burgess, 84, of Exeter, N.H., formerly a longtime resident of Warren, beloved wife of the late Arthur Burgess, passed away July 28, 2007. She leaves behind their seven children and their spouses, Arthur and Gail Burgess of Auburn, Barbara and Sherwood Hilt of Union, Mary and Yusef Akyuz of Sudbury, Mass., John and Susan Burgess of Newport, Paul Burgess and Polly Moutevelis-Burgess of Hampden, George and Mary Burgess of Warren and Irene Burgess and Mark Denmon of Washington, Ill.; as well as 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass celebrating her life will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug 2, at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Lincoln and Front Street, Exeter, N.H.
