CORINNA – Stanley A. Leavitt, 98, husband of the late Grace (Smart) Leavitt, died June 17, 2004, at a Dexter Nursing Home, after a long illness. He was born June 29, 1905, in Boston, Mass., the eldest son of Hattie R. Micue. He attended Corinna Schools and had been a lifelong resident of Corinna working in the spinning room of local area woolen mills until his retirement in 1964. He was a long-time member and Past Grand Master of Stone-Ezel Lodge IOOF, the Cleoria Rebekah Lodge and the Corinna Senior Citizens. He is survived by a half sister, Virginia Dodge of Alexandria, Va.; several nieces and nephews. Stanley was predeceased by a half brother, Herbert Micue; a half sister, Marion Martin and a very dear friend, Erma Maxim. Graveside memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at the Village Cemetery, Corinna. Arrangements are by the Thompson Funeral Home, 30 St. Albans Road, Corinna.
