CALAIS – Stanely E. McConvey Sr., 77, died Saturday, April 2, 2005, at a Calais hospital. Mr. McConvey was born March 10, 1928, in Calais, the son of the late Fred and Hazel Ann (Drillen) McConvey. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. Mr. McConvey was employed for many years as an assistant refuge manager for the Moosehorn Game Refuge. Surviving are his loving wife, Pauline (Greenlaw) McConvey; a sister, Elaine Frye of North Carolina; a granddaughter, Janice McConvey; and a great-grandchild, Tiara Knowles. He was predeceased by his son, Stan McConvey Jr. A graveside memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2005, in Calais Cemetery. Donations may be made in Stanley’s memory to a charity of one’s choice. A cremation service by Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais.
