GLENBURN – Stanley H. “Pappy” Skidgel, 88, husband of 60 years to the late Veronica (Brooker) Skidgel, passed away Aug. 2, 2006, surrounded by his family, at his home. He was born March 10, 1918, in Woodland, the son of Jerry and Carrie (Libby) Skidgel. He was a member of the Bangor Church of Christ. Pappy is survived by five children, Jerry, Eugene, Paul, Lorraine, Wayne Skidgel; two sisters, Lilly, Barbara; four brothers, Tommy, Snuffy, Melvin, Cecil; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Tracy Pickard. A service of remembrance will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at the Bangor Church of Christ, 516 Union St., Bangor. Gifts in his memory may be sent to the Bangor Church of Christ.
