GREENVILLE and REDONDO BEACH, Calif. -Stephanie Sanders Gundersen, 57, died Sunday, June 4, 2006, surrounded by her loving family in Portland. Born Aug. 11, 1948, in Greenville, daughter of Philip A. Sanders and Dawn (Smith) Sanders. Stephanie graduated from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Ariz. in 1970. She was employed as a flight attendant by American Airlines for 35 years. She volunteered for Cedar Sinai in Beverly Hills, Calif. and various other charities. Stephanie is survived by her daughter, Gabrielle Gundersen of Seattle; her mother, Dawn Sanders; sisters, Lisa O’Rourke and Cindy Gonzales, all of Arizona; brother, John Sanders of Wisconsin and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles. Graveside services will be held 4 p.m. Thursday, June 8, at the Sanders family lot in Greenville Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Robert L. Veon officiating. A Redondo Beach, Calif. memorial will be at a date and time to be determined. Arrangements by the Hobbs Funeral Home, 230 Cottage Rd., South Portland.
