HOLDEN and BANGOR – Stephen Paul Chase, 30, died tragically in a fire in Bangor on Nov. 6, 2003. He was born July 19, 1973, in Hanover, N.H. Stephen graduated from Bangor High School. He had various jobs with the most current at Maine Distributors. Stephen loved all kinds of sports; fishing, hunting, racing, motorcycles, loved the Green Bay Packers, and racing go-karts with his Dad. He had a great sense of humor and loved playing practical jokes. All his family and friends will sadly miss him. He is survived by his mother, Elaine L. (Faulkner) Thurlow and husband, Mike, of Lee; his father, Robert L. Chase and wife, Beth Drew, of Holden; a grandfather, Jasper Faulkner of Wynn; sisters and brothers, Christi Davis and husband, Bryan, of Danbury, Conn., Courtney Chase and Kristina Chase of Holden; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and many friends. Friends are invited to meet with the family 6-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, with the Rev. Dr. Rex Garrett, director of Chaplaincy Services at EMMC, officiating. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Veazie. Following the committal services the family invites friends to share conversation and refreshments at the home of Robert Chase and Beth Drew, 640 Levenseller Road, Holden.
