MATTAWAMKEAG – Susan Conrad, 85, died Feb. 6, 2004, at a Lincoln nursing home. She was born June 25, 1918, in Vanceboro, the daughter of William and Mary Trott. Susie loved knitting and making candy. She is survived by a nephew, William Kaine and his wife, Linda, and their children, Jeff and Lisa; a niece, Susan Sangster and her husband, Russell, and their children, Jason, Sheri Messer and her husband, Cory, and their children; a sister, Margaret McCarthy. Susie is also survived by close and loving friends, Dawn Heald and her husband, John, and their daughter, Sarah; Elaine Miller and her husband, Hans, and their children, Blake and Nicholas; Gloria Coombs and Phyllis Spencer and her husband, Brent. She was predeceased by a sister, Ethel Crandelmire; and by special friends, Keith and Mary Gray. At Susie’s request there will be no services.
