BANGOR – Susanne E. (Cyr) George, 66, died May 6, 2007, surrounded by her loving family at a local health care facility, after a brief illness. She was born April 4, 1941, in East Corinth. Susanne was the daughter of Katherine (Pushor) Perkins and Stanley Perkins, who predeceased her. Susanne attended elementary school in Exeter and graduated from Corinna Union Academy in 1958. Susanne had a wonderful life filled with family and friends. She was employed at Eastern Maine Medical Center for 25 years and was known for her caring and generosity. Surviving are her husband, William E. George and the George family; her daughter, Alicia Harriman; son-in-law, Barry Harriman; grandchildren, Brandi and Kyle; great-grandson, Zander; her mother, Katherine Perkins; sisters, Pamela Perkins of Texas, Penelope Ewing of New Jersey and Chrystobel Sawhney of Virginia; faithful cousin, Mary Bamford Luque; as well as cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunt and uncles. A celebration of life and remembrance will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, May 10, at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, in the chapel of St. Jude’s, with a reception to be held immediately after the service, at the parish hall. Graveside services for the family will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery later in the day. In lieu of flowers, please celebrate Mother’s Day with your favorite mother.
