WINDSOR, Mass. – Basil Kent Teague, the fourth child and third son of Nickolas W. and Madelyn E. (Dibble) Teague, passed away May 3, 2007, at his home. He was born May 11, 1940, in Prospect, at the family home. The family moved to Frankfort, then to Hampden Center, where he started school. Then they moved to the Kennebec Road, before finally settling in East Dixmont. He graduated from the eighth grade there and went to high school in Brooks, where he graduated salutatory of his class. From there he attended the University of Maine and graduated in 1962, as an electrical engineer. He had already been hired by the General Electric Co., where he worked until he retired at his home in Windsor, Mass. With his job, he was transferred and able to see some of the world. His hobby was taking slides and pictures of the places he lived, plus family pictures. He is survived by three brothers, David and wife, Maxine, of New Gloucester, Raymond of Sunapee, N.H., and Vinal and wife, Babbs, of Plymouth; two sisters, Priscilla Smith of Hampden and Joyce Harriman of Stetson; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 12, at the family lot in Kenduskeag.
