NEWPORT – Terence T. Cochran, 79, died Jan. 14, 2008, at a Pittsfield hospital. He was born June 16, 1928, in Corinna, a son of Terence and Ida (Harville) Cochran. He worked for Alco Electric until his retirement in 1990. Ted moved to Newport in 1991. He is survived by a son, Terence Lewis Cochran of Perham; two daughters, Tami Bancroft of New Hampshire and Diana Doody of Mapleton; a brother, Norman Murray of Bangor; sister, Sylvia Goins of Alabama; six grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, including a very special niece and nephew, Bryan and Donna Cochran of Corinna. He was predeceased by a brother, Byron Cochran; and two sisters, Madeline Hill and Gloria Zieseniss. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main St., Newport, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, with Pastor George Finnemore officiating.
