SOUTH PORTLAND – Connie Alice Tibbetts, 85, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008, in Falmouth. Connie was born in Sanford, the daughter of Lucy Tanguay Plammondon. Connie was a hardworking woman who enjoyed crafts, decorating her house, walking, camping, traveling, Broadway Shows, reading and talking politics with her family. She loved being surrounded by her family and extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Reynold C. Tibbetts; two brothers, Louis and Harvey Plammondon; and sisters, Cecil, Alvita and Rita. Survivors include her daughter, Bonnie C. Tibbetts of South Portland; sons, Edward H. and wife, Mary Sue Tibbetts, of Portland, and Ronald K. and wife, Tricia Tibbetts, of East Corinth; two grandsons, Steven Plummer and Ivan Tibbetts; great-grandson, Tyler Plummer; and sister, Theresa Bridges of Florida; along with many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to staff at Sedgewood Commons and Beacon Hospice for the loving care Connie received. There will be no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at St. John the Evangelist, South Portland. Interment to be held after at Calvary Cemetery, South Portland.
