MARS HILL – Teresa E. McPherson, 72, died Aug. 1, 2006, at a Westfield healthcare facility. She was born Dec. 8, 1933, in Mars Hill, the daughter of Oliver and Florence (Tompkins) McPherson. Teresa was a lifelong member of the United Baptist Church in Mars Hill where she taught junior church and Sunday school for many years. She graduated from Aroostook Central Institute and had been employed at J.J. Newberry Co. in Mars Hill for 31 years. She is survived by an aunt, Cora L. Brown of Portland, and several cousins. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday at the Duncan Funeral Home in Mars Hill with the Rev. Mark Hartley officiating. Friends may call 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at the East Blaine Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be sent to either the United Baptist Church, P.O.
