BAILEYVILLE – Terrance J. Clukey, 60, died unexpectedly Nov. 7, 2003, at a Calais Hospital. Born in Dexter, Sept. 17, 1943, the son of James and Jessie (Murray) Clukey. Terry was a communicant of St. James The Greater Roman Catholic Church of Baileyville and a 3rd Degree member of the St. Croix Council No. 149 Knights of Columbus of Calais. He was a past district deputy of the Knights of Columbus in Dexter and Greenville. Terry was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was an educator for many years in the Greenville, Hartland, and Woodland school systems. He was employed as department manager of housewares at the Calais Walmart, and a rural route driver for the Bangor Daily News. He enjoyed playing cards and golf. Surviving are his father, James E. Clukey of Dexter; his wife, Sally (Leavitt) Clukey, of Baileyville; two sons, Jeffrey Clukey of Bangor, and Anthony Clukey of Kennebunkport; one brother, Urban Clukey and his wife, Janis, of Hartland; one sister, Waynetta Chabot and her husband, Francis, of Exeter; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Scott-Wilson Funeral Home, 26 Church St. Calais. Prayers will be said at the funeral home Sunday evening 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, 2003, at St. James The Greater Roman Catholic Church, Baileyville, with Rev. Frank Morin celebrant. Burial with full military honors will be 12 noon Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003, at the Maine Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations in his memory to the Baileyville Ambulance, St James the Greater Building Fund, or Calais Regional Hospital.
