PORTSMOUTH, R.I. – Thomas Person Connelly, 55, of 22 North Drive, Portsmouth, R.I., formerly of Fall River, Mass. and Lewiston, died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2003, at the Veteran’s Hospital, Providence R.I. Born Jan. 9, 1948, in Lewiston, the son of Wilhelmina M. (Person) Connelly of Newport, R.I. and the late Herbert Merrill Connelly. Mr. Connelly was in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era. He worked as a finish carpenter for various companies in Rhode Island and Massachusetts areas and also in Maine. Mr. Connelly was a member of the Bristol, R.I. lodge of Elks and the American Legion in Old Town. He enjoyed hunting, canoeing, classical music and his dog, “Sully.” In addition to his mother he is survived by his brother, William Martin Connelly of Greene; two sisters, Wilhelmina Terry Pelletier of Fall River, Mass. and Marvina LePage of Portsmouth, R.I.; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
