ORLAND – Terrence Lee Obey, 53, died March 11, 2007, after a long and valiant fight with a respiratory illness, in the same Orland home that he was raised. He was born Sept. 2, 1953, in Bangor, son of John W. and Louise E. (Osgood) Obey. He graduated from Bucksport High School in 1971 and worked as a master certified automobile technician for many years. He is survived by his wife, Emely K. (Schulz) Rucker of Orland; his mother, Louise E. Obey of Penobscot; two brothers, John J. Obey and his wife, Cindy, of Naples, Fla., and Buffalo, N.Y., and Tom M. Obey and his wife, Lori, of Bangor; several nieces, nephews and four stepchildren. He was predeceased by his father, Jack Obey in 1985. A service of remembrance will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, March 15, with his brother, Tom, officiating at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport.
