BANGOR – Thaddeus Henry Jozefowicz, MD, 61, died April 28, 2004, at his home in Bangor. He was born April 14, 1943, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of Henry Joseph and Gabrielle (Trzebuchowski) Jozefowicz. He was a graduate of St. Francis College, Brooklyn, N.Y., Class of 1964, the University of Bologna, Italy, Md, PhD, Cum Laude, Class of 1970. Thaddeus served his internship and residency at Nassau County Medical Center, East Meadow, N.Y. He was chairman of the Medical Advisory Board, Secretary of State, Dept. of Motor Vehicles, State of Maine, 1977-1995. He was a member of the Board of Directors, American Society of Neuroimaging 1988-1991; appointed Dedimus Justice by Governor John McKernan, Dec. 22, 1989, was a member of the Bangor Rotary Club since 1989 and served as president 1995-1996; and a member of numerous medical societies and organizations. Surviving are his wife, Elaine (Valentine) Jozefowicz; two sons, Thaddeus “TJ” Jozefowicz Jr., Jonathan Edward Jozefowicz, all of Bangor; one brother, Ralph Jozefowicz, of Rochester, N.Y. Friends may call 1-5 p.m. Sunday, May 2, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, May 3, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 754 Ohio St., Bangor Interment will be in Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor.
