BANGOR – Theda Inez (Bean) Cross died peacefully Aug. 12, 2005, at home, surrounded by her family. She was born July 20, 1919, in Exeter, the daughter of the late Bernard and Fern (Everett) Bean. She graduated from East Corinth Academy, Class of 1937. She is survived by her children, Ladonna Cross of Bangor, Richard Cross of Boston, Mass., Loretta (Cross) and husband, J.C. Rivenbark of Atlanta, Ga.; grandchildren, Jay Garland and wife, Maureen, Angela (Garland) and husband, Curtis Jordan; stepgranddaughter, Amy (Rivenbark) and husband, Douglas Olive; three great-granddaughters, Virginia Dannelly, Sarah-Catherine Dannelly and Cassie Garland; two great-stepgrandchilden, Hunter and Hannah Olive, all from Atlanta, Ga.; three sisters, Verna Hoyt of Aiken, S.C., Ardith McGraw of Bangor, Patricia Parker of Corinna; many nieces and nephews. Her husband, Leon E. Cross; a grandson, Joel Garland; three sisters, Nathlie Johnson, Amber Rockwell, Janette Cross; and two brothers, Malcolm Bean and Ronald Bean, predeceased her. The Rev. Tiff Shuttlesworth will officiate at a private committal service Wednesday, at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
