MILTON, VT. – Thelma E. Demick, 93, died Saturday Dec. 4, 2004, at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans, Vt. Mrs. Demick was born Sept. 12, 1911, in Randolph, Vt. the daughter of Harry and Ethel (Farnam) Hubbard. She married Chester Demick on July 7, 1934, in Malone, Vt. Thelma was a member of the United Church of Milton, the Order of the Eastern Star, Chittenden Chapter No. 59, and was very active with the Arrowhead Seniors and the Champlain Valley Agency on Aging. Mrs. Demick retired from Three Industries in Three Rivers, Mass., prior to moving to Milton. She is survived by her children and spouses, Deane Demick of Waynesville, N.C., Chester Demick and his wife, Nancy, of Schuylerville, N.Y., Terrance Demick and his wife, Nancy of Florida and Vermont, Judith Slankard and her husband, Bill, of Phoenix, Ariz.; her sisters, Hazel Siegriest of Milton, with whom she made her home for many years, Rhoda Long of Bangor; a special nephew, Don Siegriest and his wife, Diane, of Westford, Vt.; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. Thelma was predeceased by her husband, Chester in 1977; and by her sister, Vivian Lambert in 1972. A funeral and OES Service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, in the Minor Funeral Home in Milton, Vt. Burial will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, in the Riverside Baptist Church Cemetery, in Waynesville, N.C. Contributions in Thelma’s memory may be made to the Milton Meal Site, care of CVAA, P.O.
