EAST MACHIAS – Our beloved grandmother, Thelma L. Dennison, died Feb. 9, 2004, at her home in East Machias. She was born Oct. 5, 1912, at Machias, the daughter of William A. and Lena (Blyther) Preston. She was the wife of Mariner L. Dennison, who predeceased her in 2000. She was adored by her grandchildren and families. She leaves behind one sister, Evelyn Conlin and husband, Walter, of Marshfield; one brother, Stephen Preston and wife, Mary, of Machias; five grandchildren, C. William Hennessey of Westminister, Colo.; Joanne L. Hennessey of East Machias, Robert M. Hennessey and wife, Bertha, of East Machias, George E. Hennessey and wife, Patti, of Wilton, N.H.; and John L. Hennessey of Machias; three great-grand-children; many nieces and nephews; and her dog and companion, Mocha. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Betty L. Hennessey; a brother, William Preston Jr.; infant brothers, Bertrum and Philip Preston; four sisters, Violet Hudson, Olive Davis, Laura Hall, and Madeline Cunningham. Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Bragdon-Kelley-Camp-bell Funeral Home, Machias, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, with Pastor Bill Dodge officiating.
