OCALA, FLA. and LEVANT – Thelma N. “Susie” Withee, 59, died Sunday, Aug. 15, 2004, at a Florida hospital. She was born on Sept. 24, 1944, in Bangor. Her favorite hobby was spending time on-line with her many beloved friends on the Parents-Grandparenting chat room. She also enjoyed day trips for ocean views in Maine and Florida. Susie is survived by three children, Sheila L. Stafford and husband, Cade, of Ocala, Fla., John B. Withee, and wife, Laurie, of Woonsocket, R.I., and Shane M. Withee of Lakeland, Fla.; she is survived by her mother, Helen L. Higgins of Levant; one grandson, Jack Garrett Stafford, of Ocala, Fla.; She is also survived by her devoted boyfriend of 12 years, Dennis A. Patten, of Ocala, Fla. She is predeceased by her father, Paul R. Estabrook of Brewer in 1980, and Leland “Red” Higgins of Levant in 1993. Friends are invited to a Gathering of Remembrance from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 26, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor where a Service of Remembrance will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, with the Rev.
