WINTERPORT and OWLS HEAD – Thelma “Tubby” Wadleigh, 91, wife of the late Capt. Harlan L. Wadleigh, died Dec. 20, 2005, at Westgate Manor, Bangor. Born April 2, 1914, in Winterport, she was the daughter of Granville and Carolyn Wildes Morrill. She graduated from Winterport High School in 1933. She was predeceased by two sisters, Doris Potter Nealley, Sept. 29, 1966, and Ella Libby, Dec. 18, 2000. ‘Tubby’ is survived by a nephew, Ronald Potter; two nieces, Charlotte White, both of Winterport and Carolyn Wingate of Thorndike; as well as two very close friends, Andrew and Claire Coffey of Owls Head. As with her husband, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Arrangements are with Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock St., Rockland.
