ELLSWORTH – “Thead” passed from this mortal life to be with her beloved Bealie May 29, 2008. Thead and her twin brother, Herbert, were born July 18, 1913, in West Tremont, the children of Alonzo A. and Polly (Dow) Wentworth. She attended Pemetic High School, graduating in the Class of 1921. Thead married Everett A. Beal Sr., Aug. 29, 1934, and lived in Ellsworth for the remainder of her life. Thead is survived by a son, Everett A. Jr. and wife, Linda S., of Ellsworth; three grandchildren, Everett Allen and wife, Michelle, of Ellsworth, Laurie B. Wilder and husband, Scott, of Brewer and Charles and wife, Robin, of Ellsworth; six great-grandchildren, Evan, Kara, Whitney, Jason, Mathew and Kristen; sister, Carrie Morris and husband, Raymond, of Bar Harbor; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband of 60 plus years; brothers, George, Alexander, Roy, Lou, Will and Herbert; and sisters, Annie, Bessie, Zulma, Verna and Dorothy. A graveside service for family will be held 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 14, at Woodbine Cemetery, Ellsworth. A memorial service for family and friends will be held at a later date.
