HARTLAND – Theresa M. Smith, 67, passed away Nov. 24, 2003, at Sebasticook Valley Hospital. She was born June 12, 1936, in New Vineyard, the daughter of Wilford and Rose Bouffard. Theresa was a life-long resident of the Hartland area. She especially enjoyed playing beano. Theresa’s family meant everything to her. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Rex Smith, Sr. of Hartland; daughter, Brenda Shaw and husband, Steven, of Hartland; daughter, Debbie Smith of Hartland; son, Rex Smith Jr. and companion, Nancy Hughes, of Hartland; daughter, Betty Elliot and husband, Clyde, of Canaan; daughter, Wanda Kennedy and husband, Ivan, of Detroit; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A private burial will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Donald H. Shorey Funeral Chapel, Pittsfield.
