MERIDEN, Conn. – Theresa Marie Legere, our devoted and loving wife, mom and grandma, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2008, with her family by her side. She was born May 7, 1946, in Lille, a daughter of the late Alphy Godin and Arore Godin of West Hartford, Conn. Theresa devoted her life to her family. She enjoyed her time spent with her grandchildren and children, watching them grow. She loved travel and was especially fond of her journeys to Ireland, France, London and across the United States with her husband and children. She will be missed by all for her selfless giving, undying love, adventurous spirit and joyous love of life and laughter. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Luke Legere of Meriden, Conn.; her children, Marie Legere, Luke and Patricia Legere of Meriden, Conn., Paula Legere-Mickley and Brian Mickley of Old Greenwich, Conn., and Tim and Annie DiBattista of Newington, Conn.; stepchildren, Steven and Laurie Legere of Meriden, Conn., and Emelda Kerhoff of Indiana; grandchildren, Adam, April and Jennifer Legere of Meriden, Conn., Lauren and Sarah Mickley of Old Greenwich, Conn., Anthony, Destiney and Abigail DiBattista of Newington, Conn.; 13 stepgrandchildren; brothers and sisters, Patricia Beals of Windsor, Conn., Patrick and Ghisline Godin of West Hartford, Conn., Lee Godin of Bristol, Conn., Gerald and Carolann Godin of East Windsor, Conn., Roger and Clemence Godin of Orlando, Fla., Joanne and Lewis Brissette of West Hartford, Conn., Alphy and Rita Godin of Farmington, Conn., Nelson and Kathy Godin of Farmington, Conn., Ann Marie Pooler of Pittsfield, Rita and Mike Clevette of Middleburg, Fla., John and Josephine Godin of Rome, N.Y., David Godin of New Britain, Conn., Raymond Godin of New Britain, Conn., Angela and Ronald Gallagher of Caribou and Judy Godin of Bristol, Conn. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Jean Moreau and Viola Godin; brothers, Paul Godin and Joseph Godin; and stepdaughter, Kimberly Chang. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, April 26, at Walter Hubbard Chapel, Walnut Grove Cemetery. Burial will be held after at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
