VALMON DUFOUR MADAWASKA – Valmon Dufour, 78, passed away April 20, 2008, at a Fort Kent health care facility. He was born May 14, 1929, in Madawaska, the son of Eddie and Alma (Dai-gle) Dufour. He is survived by his wife, Majella (Parker) Dufour of Madawaska; two daughters, Louise Olliges and her husband, Art, of Ormond Beach, Fla., Rachel Dufour and her partner, Rebecca Kokemor, of Santa Rosa, Calif.; three sons, Dave Dufour and his wife, Janet, of Cincinnati, Norman Dufour and his wife, Janice, of Madawaska and Patrick Dufour, also of Madawaska; two brothers, Enthem Dufour of Sebring, Fla., and Francis Dufour of Madawaska; six grandchildren, Ben Olliges, David Dufour Jr., Jonathan Dufour, Sarah Gant, Andrea Dufour and Katelyn Dufour; several nieces and nephews. Val was predeceased by one sister, Jeannine Saucier. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Madawaska. Friends and family may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. Friday until time of service at Daigle Funeral Home. Spring interment will be in the parish cemetery.
