LAKE WORTH, Fla. – Thomas G. Christakos, 90, of Lake Clarke Gardens in Lake Worth, Fla., passed away Feb. 21, 2005. Thomas was born Oct. 25, 1914, in Peabody, Mass., the son of Panayiota and George Christakos. An avid golfer and card player, Thomas was a restauranteur in Michigan and Maine. A resident of Lake Clarke Gardens for the past 20 plus years, he was active in many areas for the Lake Clarke community. He will be remembered for his caring and thoughtful compassion for his many neighbors within the complex. He was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Helen; brothers, Ernie, Nick, Peter, Chris; and sisters, Helen and Annie. He is survived by his sister, Anna Stanley (James) of Treasure Island, Fla.; three daughters, Paula Christakos of Amston, Conn., Adrienne Hitchcock (Ray) of Cambridgeport, Vt. and Connie Long (Bruce) of Lake Worth, Fla.; three grandchildren, Micah Rounds (Kara), Stacy Ernst (David) and Thomas Hitchcock (Kim); and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held later this spring in Maine. There will be no reviewal.
