NORWOOD, Mass. – Thomas L. “Tom” Kilroy Sr., 76, died Oct. 6, 2003, at his home in Norwood after a brief illness. He was born in Medford, Mass., and had lived in Norwood for the past year. Prior to that he had lived in Canton, Mass., for more than 40 years. Mr. Kilroy was a World War II U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a retired electrician. He had worked for many years for Rotman Electric in Dorchester, Mass., and retired from Penny Electric, Cambridge, Mass., as a supervisor. He was a member of St. Mark’s VFW Post 1758, Dorchester. He also coached for Canton Little League. He was the coach of the “Pirates” for several years. He was the beloved husband of Louise (Hanlon) Kilroy; loving father of Thomas L. Kilroy Jr. and his wife, Karen, of Stoughton, Timothy W. Kilroy and his wife, Janice, of Brewer, Kathleen M. Johnson and her husband, Douglas, of Mooresville, Ind., and Nancy J. Kilroy of Canton, Mass.; dear brother-in-law of Walter Hanlon and his wife, Pat, of Hyde Park, Mass., Claire E. Hanlon of New Jersey and Joanne C. Hanlon of Marlborough. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 North Main St., (Route 128), Randolph, Mass. until 9:15 a.m. on Saturday followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Gerard Majella Church, Canton, Mass. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours 4-8 p.m. Friday. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Randolph.
