THOMAS M. FINN WHITING – Thomas “Tom” M. Finn, 47, passed away unexpectedly Sept. 13, 2005. He was born March 24, 1958, in Jamaica, N.Y., the son of William and Patricia (Kelly) Finn. Tom married the love of his life, Marie, May 17, 1986. He was a devoted husband. Together they had four beautiful children that he was very proud of. They were the focus of his life. He worked as a master carpenter during his life doing custom carpentry work. Tom loved the “Great State of Maine” where he spent much time in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and ice fishing. Tom loved making people smile and laugh and did so by telling stories and reminiscing. He loved restoring and salvaging antique cars and trucks. He enjoyed and was a very good baker and cook and was known for his excellent barbequing. Tom was a great friend and would come to the aid of anyone who asked and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Marie Finn; four children, Harry, age 18, Lauren, age 16, Franky, age 10, and Partrick, age 7, all of Whiting; mother, Patricia Finn of California; siblings, Richie Finn of New York, Michael Finn, Marybeth McGee, and Jeannie Medina, all of California; and many nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Tom will be dearly missed by all his family and friends. He was predeceased by his father, William Finn. Visiting hours will take place from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at the Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, 6 Cooper St., Machias. A Mass will take place 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at Holy Name Catholic Church, 11 Free St., Machias. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Finn Family, P.O.
