LEE – Thomas M. “Tom” Braley Sr., 44, husband of Paula (Dicker) Braley, died May 8, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. He was born May 8, 1961, in Bangor, the son of Albert “Curley” and Gloria (Bell) Braley. He was a graduate of Hermon High School. Tom will be remembered as a loving “best” Dad and husband “in the whole wide world” with two children who cherished him and a wife who was his best friend and soul mate. He always made his family his first concern and his first love. He was known for helping his family and friends whenever they needed a helping hand without expecting anything in return and was a hard worker providing for his family. He was a fun loving guy who was loved by all. He considered his wife’s family like his own. In addition to his wife, Paula, he is survived by two children, Thomas “T.J.” Braley Jr., and Kayla Gwen Braley, all of Lee; his mother, Gloria Braley; and his father and step-mother, Albert “Curly” Braley and Marjorie, all of Hermon; a brother, Jerry Braley and Nancy Ryan of Kenduskeag; a sister, Debbie Braisted and Dennis Sweden of Hermon; two stepsisters, Darlene Bell and Jim of Hermon and Laurie Thayer and Fred of Hudson; several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many special friends, Mike Winch, Jeff McLaughlin, Larry Ham and Bub Sawtelle. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home, with Peter Jipson officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lee.
